I have been cosplaying for 232 days, or 7 months and 18 days since the first day of FanimeCon 2012 on May 25, 2012. Unlike most cosplayers, I remember the exact day, event, and costume.

It's funny when you first cosplay thinking you're going to be the "best x ever". In your mind, you may actually believe it. But its usually just a delusion.

This photo represent 7 months of progress, something that I never see on the internet. You always see the cherry-picked best images, photoshopped, cropped, all-dolled up.

What an amateur I was back then! I'm glad that I realized the mistakes I was making and took steps to take this cosplay of mine to the next level.

Well, Dei is my favourite character along with Hidan so I HAVE to say good things. JK!

The photo quality is MUCH better for your latest pic. As for the costume: YOU NAILED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hair is perfectly straight and so is the headband and the Akatsuki robe. The wig in the first pic is too synthetic looking so great improvement on that!

You could have taken a bit more hair for Dei's ponytail, but of course if the wig was already designed with that much hair, I guess there isn't much you can do.

OVERALL: It's a great improvement!!!!!

as I sa on the comment the over all quality of the photos differs a great deal! ALA the quality is much better because its just the right lighting, in fanime good picture but the lighting really washed you out! I remember at AX I helped you keep your wig pony tail straight and I'm always glad to help! ^^ At AX you were also better than fanime, Scott as a first year cosplayer you really REALLY came a long way and improved! I'm truly impressed! and you're a hot guy Deidara lol and even having the contacts makes a really big difference! I didn't use any cause my eyes already are blue green/hazel lol they change XD Great job improving and keep it up! See you at AX 2013 and the marriot Hotel is INSANELY EXPENSIVE don't go there lol

lol I also remember the exact day and year and my first costume too lol July 4th 2005 Anime Expo Anaheim CA I was Hatake Kakashi!
